Description

Set in Norfolk the book is told largely in Jack's own words, transcribed form a series of taped interviews taken by his daughter, and co-editor of this book, Alison Downes. Many aspects of country lore and farming life are covered, particularly in the years when horses were still commonly used on farms, and when the farm labourer's life was hard. Yet Jack's sense of humour, wisdom and kindness shines through on every page. Here is a book for horse lovers and people who love the countryside as it used to be
