Author Biography:
Agnes Clare Ventura was born and raised in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii. She attended St. Antony Catholic School, Marylhurst College, and the University of Hawaii, Hilo Campus. Ms. Ventura received her BA Degree in English Literature. Publications of her writings include: "Self Help Stories," published by X-Libris in 2005. She is also the author of poetry publications in: The Maui News, Upwards magazine, The Angels, and The American Anthology of Poetry. Various awards and recognitions by this author include: The National Teachers of English Award (Best student of English-1963), Parent Teacher's Association Gold medal award for Literature and Composition 1964), and the Genesian Award for Best Acting (1965). Ms. Ventura currently resides with her husband on the Big Island of Hawaii. Working as the Broker in Charge, Ms. Ventura has worked in the Real Estate Industry for over 43 years. She also specializes in writing letters to banks, in regards to "how to navigate the loan modification maze." Together with her three daughters, they own and operate their family business, Millennium Realty Inc. located in Makawao, Maui, Hawaii. Besides being an active Licensed Real Estate Broker, Ms. Ventura has also worked as a Teacher of English at St Anthony high school, Christ the King School, and the Hawaii Job Corps. Married, mother of five daughters (two deceased), 5 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Her hobbies include: painting, sewing, gardening, collecting vintage art and items, and genealogical studies and writings.
