Description

These poems were composed for the first time as blog entries under the title "Kahve Chronicles: Rats and Berries." They are musings of a mutt, a Mastiff crossed with a Kangal, about life, survival, and relationship with humans -- mostly Greek Philosophers, who in the end believe that our hero must be scrutinized at a "kangaroo court," by judges that consist of: Descartes, Cicero, Occam, Oedipus, and Alexander Dumas. Kahve's grave sin appears to be misleading his students who pay good money to attend a newly designated Ivy League university.

Author Biography:

The author is a professor at one of the newly designated Ivy League universities and a practicing architect for 50 years. His literary interests run long and deep. In addition to numerous technical titles he has authored, his fiction works have come to fruition only recently through blogs (2013) and with a family crime novel (Hermit Crab, 2016). The sources of his inspiration are both real and fictitious. He has taught ethics, among other subjects, to architects, for four decades and many of his own musings stem from these experiences. "When virtue is lost, benevolence appears, when benevolence is lost right conduct appears, when right conduct is lost, expedience appears. Expediency is the mere shadow of right and truth; it is the beginning of disorder." (Lao Tzu, father of Taoism)
