How To Grow:

PREPARE
Put the Jiffy® soil pellets into a large bowl and add about 600ml of lukewarm water. After 10 minutes you will have enough soil to fill your windowsill tin. Loosen the soil with a table fork and put your new soil into the pot.

SOW

• Make a small hole with the end of your finger in the soil for each seed.
• Sow the seeds, cover with 3–5mm of the surrounding soil and firm gently.
• Water lightly and place in a warm, well-lit spot in your home.
• First shoots will appear in 20–40 days.
• When the young plants are approximately 5cm tall, thin them out to leave only the 4–5 strongest plants.
• This allows the flowers to have plenty of space to develop.
• The surplus seedlings can be planted into another pot or directly into the garden.

CARE

• Feed with a half-strength liquid fertiliser every 2 weeks to promote healthy growth.
• The soil should be kept moist, but not too wet.
• Water when soil changes colour from dark to light brown and feels dry to touch.
• After watering pour out any excess water from the drip tray, so the tin doesn’t sit in a pool of water.
