The Salzburg Festival mounted this 2008 production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's most famous and acclaimed opera, Don Giovanni, with a cast that includes Christopher Maltman in the title role, Anatoly Kocherga as Il commandatore, Annette Dasch as Donna Anna and Matthew Polenzani as Don Ottavio. Claus Guth directs for the stage; Christian Schmidt designed the sets and costumes; Ramses Sigl choreographs; and the Vienna Philharmonic, under the baton of Bertrand de Billy, lends symphonic accompaniment.
