Description

MOTHER NATURE'S A BITCH addresses the most frequently asked medical questions with clarity and wit. With the public's consumption of commercial media hype, MOTHER NATURE serves as your no-nonsense, often humorous, guide through confusing, inconclusive, even misleading, medical information. With common sense and the recognition that our evolutionary advantage of intelligence is both a blessing and a curse, MOTHER NATURE promises the reader a wealth of practical advice that can extend one's meaningful and productive life.

Author Biography:

DR. STEVEN BLOCK has practiced cardiology for nearly 40 years. He received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in 1971, continuing with a two-year medical residency at UCLA, where he obtained his specialty credentials in internal medicine. Dr. Block completed his training with a two-year fellowship in cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. In 1976, Dr. Block left Los Angeles for Lodi, a small town in Northern California, where he served as Director of the Coronary Care Unit at Lodi Community Hospital. He founded the Lodi Heart Center in 1980, where he currently remains as a solo practitioner. Encouraged by his patients to share his unique teaching style with the general public, Dr. Block conceived this guide.
