Currency Music's Flexi-kit arrangements of the traditional melodies are quick and easy-to-use. Whereas other flexible arrangements require fixed melodies, rhythms and bass lines, these arrangements can be used to suit any context. If there is no rhythm section, then don't use it; if you have only bass instruments, then combine the optional counter-melodies to produce a mixed ensemble for low instruments; if you have eight reorders, create a recorder consort -- the combinations are endless. Flexi-kit arrangements provide the instrumental teacher and conductor with a choice of up to thirteen melodies for treble and bass instruments. Each arrangement contains a core melody part and several optional countermelody and bass parts. The melody part may be used in combination with any one or more of the optional parts, or alone with the optional guitar accompaniment. The bass parts are also optional. The conductor's score is used as a reference. The average player ability for each part and melody varies slightly. Most of the optional parts would present a modest challenge to 2nd or 3rd grade (AMEB) standard players (depending on their instrument). Supplementary easy parts are also provided.
