"Stickers that wont come off and bad instructions"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I bought a few of these to finally display some items. Unfortunately someone has put these cr*ppy quality stickers on each side of the display case and they wont come off. I wouldnt mind if they could be easily hidden but its a display case and these ugly white stickers with s**t quality glue have ruined the case. I think the only way I may get this off will scratch the surface.

Also the instructions for putting on the glass door is all in a foreign language so I hope you're able to work it out without guidance.

"COOL CUBE ..... Eventually"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

'Chemico Paste Cleaner’ on a wet rag, to remove the sticky gunk, left behind by those stupid stickers. Okay, with that outta the way .....

The cube, when fully assembled, is nice, & fits my needs (MANLY TOY DISPLAAAAAY!), & I see myself buying more of these, if I see them discounted, to buy multiples. The assembled cube gets 4 stars, but my 3 star rating is for the overall experience. Like reviewers before me have said .....

The stickers & assembly, really let this down. Before I found out about the Chemico trick, removing the stickers & gunk was annoying. Had me thinking, 99.99% of assembly time, will be removing these ridiculous stickers. But with Chemico- Easy peasy, lemon, squeeze me.

With assembly, you get a vague instruction sheet. I’m not much of a DIY person, but I could understand, & figure bits out for myself. My 2 main annoyances with assembly. The instruction sheet has you assembling the cube the wrong way. It tells you to build the cube, then install the glass door. Well that’s wrong. You have to assemble the bottom wooden piece last, after the glass door. Why- Because of my second annoyance. There’s no screw holes for where the magnet has to be placed. You could guesstimate, but I didn’t want my glass door to not sit flush with the cube, if the door was shut. I had to line up the glass door to the shelf (as if it was closed), find & mark where to screw the magnet, start screwing, then place the bottom shelf on, & voilà, MAN CUBE bicep flex

An annoying assembly, for a cool display cube.

"Ugh, messy stickers"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Pretty decent quality. The instrusctions for the door hinges are useless and there aren't pre-drilled holes for the door latch, but the most painful part was trying to clean the mess from the terrible stickers used! . Overall they are easy to assemble though. Good buy at the Primate special price but wouldn't pay full price.

"Get what you pay for (In a nice way) :)"

Positives: a very solid black/dark wooden box. The glass door works nicely and it has heaps of room on the inside for multiple 1/7 scale figures. There are also holes in the back panel for the option of wiring lights inside. Overall the box has a really nice finish and I am pleased with my purchase.

Negatives: the instructions arent very good. There were no holes to screw the metal door clicker to the inside of the door opening so I had to drill those out myself, and there were no instructions for attaching it. The other point that others have made are the stickers. They are very glue-y and messy to peel off. I recommend using acetone (nail polish remover) on a cotton swap to rub the left-over adhesive off.

Overall, once figuring out its assembly, it's a really nice display box for the price!

"Nice end result, 'painful' build process"

Fortunately I'm familiar with kit furniture, so the instructions didn't matter much, but the process is not well documented either in terms of clarity or content. One of the boards was missing holes for the magnetic door mechanism and the instructions don't cover that part at all… Had to create kind of messy holes with the screws myself… But on a slightly amusing note they are apparently not ‘screws’, rather they are ‘self-propelled nails’…

Also the stickers used are paper and glue types… They simply won't peel off cleanly due to weak material and strong adhesive… And a thin layer of glue tends to remain even after sticker removal.

But the end result looks decent and fills it's purpose as a cheap display cabinet. I might consider buying another now that I know the pitfalls of assembly first hand.

"Hard to build"

Material quality is decent but instruction sheet is not very helpful and the glass door hinge/stopper fixings are also missing lots of pre-drilled holes. Not to mention the stickers on each board are also very difficult to remove without the right tool…

"Divided Opinion"

Once assembled, the unit is high quality and would only look better with a full stack of them. But the assembly was a joke, I can't imagine putting together another 3. Claiming ‘designed in New Zealand’ feels extremely disingenuous when that's about all the involvement in the product at all. There are no English instructions, the images do not cover every step, there are no holes for the magnet latch, and the awful cheap stickers leave residue that is a pain to remove without damaging the surface. I like the product, but I don't think I'd buy any more due to the experience.

Solid build. Not too difficult to assemble.
