Description

A collection of poems in four parts, inspired by the district of Ardudwy in North Wales, the works of Sir Thomas Browne and the Welsh mythologies of the Mabinogion. Ardydwy is a journey through the landscape, stopping at places of family or personal significance. The Major Works is a series of poems which take as their starting points the works of the sixteen century doctor and writer, Sir Thomas Browne. Small Finds is a miscellany of poems. The Discourses of the Severed Head is a satirical sequence which takes as it's starting point the story of BrĂ¢n from the Mabinogion.

Author Biography:

Huw Evans is a writer based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. In 2004 he completed the MA in Creative Writing at Northumbria University. Since then he has written verse dramas, scripts for community groups, schools and puppet theatre, as well as children's books and poetry. He is a member of Tuesday's Childe theatre collective. Minor Monuments his his first poetry collection.
