Although the returns relating to Iron Ore and Iron Manu factures, were satisfactorily completed by the desired time, it has been found impossible to obtain the other necessary information from mines, collieries, 85c, until the end of July. Even this has only been effected by a voluminous correspondence, by visiting the mineral districts and personally soliciting attention. My efforts in this direction will not be relaxed, and I therefore hope to secure an earlier publication in future years. By the aid of the railway authorities I am enabled to give as usual the following statement of the movements of coal.
