Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater reviews

This game is ,in my view, simply the best game on PS2 you can buy. This game is better than any other game on the PS2 because it has AMAZING graphics for PS2 and the storyline is, in my view, the best out of all the MGS games, It is far more realistic than any of the previous titles and you can play it many times through without getting bored of it. I would say this MGS is even better than the 4th one recently released on the PS3. But thats just my opinion. Recommended for any sort of gamer, serious or casual.

This is easily a 10/10 game.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake eater continues in the same vein as Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, but is set in a Russian coldwar-era rainforest, which adds its own set of challenges & opertunities. If you are a fan of the Metal Gear Solid series, you'll like this game. It even includes running jokes for those familiar with Metal Gear Solid. A great addition to anyones Playstation 2 collection!

This game is absolutely excellent, I really loved this game and it is easily one of my all time favs. Many hours of emmersive gameplay are captured in this legendary game

MGS2 is really one of the most amazing games available for the PS2. It's a classic; a MUST PLAY.

The Plot: It's a bit outrageous and most of the cut scenes are really lengthy. But this has been a consistent tradition in the MGS series so this is expected. There are really random funny moments to dilute the seriousness but if you really want to take the game seriously, all these humor bits can be avoided.

The Gameplay: The gameplay is very well balanced, with interesting, innovative options such as healing and CQC. however the camera angle do fail to meet expectations in this game. Their limited edition version of this game: Subsistence, addresses this issue but the original game is still very fun all the same.

The Graphics: The graphics are really amazing in this game. Considering that it is a PS2 game, the graphics can't be compared to that of PS3. The textures and so forth are really nice and is probably one of the best looking games of it's time.

Overall, MGS3: Snake Eater is a fantastic game once you get used to the ‘story-telling’ focus of the series. It's creative and anyone can enjoy it. Both male and female gamers would love this game in their collection and I encourage it to be.

Why I had to buy this game the second time? I had to buy this again since I sold my first one which I regret very badly.

Feel the realism of a first ever MGS game, your electronic devices use batteries that run out, your stamina drops over time.

Eat animals to survive, blend into the background with camo, use disguises to fool your enemy.

Use a variey of weapons that were available in that era. Tackle boss battles in various ways, use lethal or non-lethal weapons, each with different outcomes of what you get.

Is the plot good? Yes its terrific, funny and one of a kind. You can say that it has one of the most original story ever and feels almost like a movie.

Why is this game worth it? Its the first ever MGS title to feature extended realism in many aspects and its a PS2 exclusive. Mind you I bought this game when it came out at full retail price.

Is there any issues with this game? There is only one, a framerate bug, however its not a issue as players will enjoy the game never the less.
