Personally, I think the Melissa & Doug Magnets are overpriced for what you get, but I bought them anyway (already knowing what the product was like before I ordered it). However, I still think they're a great learning tool for little ones and even though they won't keep their interest as long as other items, they're a good addition. But if you're trying to decide between buying magnets or puzzles, I'd definitely suggest the puzzles over the magnets. I think the Melissa & Doug puzzles are fantastic developmental tools for toddlers.
