Mary became Queen of Scotland in 1542, when she was only a few days old. In 1587, she was beheaded, on the orders of Elizabeth 1 of England. This book helps readers to understand Mary's life & character. It aims to develop children's historical understanding & skills, with a Scottish focus within the 16th century.

Author Biography

Rhona has taught across the whole primary age range, specialising in History (in particular the Indus Valley) and Maths. She has also taught Mathematics to GCSE level and more recently to trainee teachers. She is now an author and adviser and has advised, amongst others, the British Educational Communications and Technology Agency.
