"A real classic to be appreciated by one and all"

Nothing can beat Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke (and the rest of the original cast). This is a true classic with unforgettable songs and action. It also introduced some Disney Magic combining human and animated actors. The bonus features of the Blu-Ray displayed many “making of” stories which only served to enhance this great movie.

"One of the 1st best live-action & animated Disney Film!"

If you want to know how Walt Disney & his studio became so successful is that the fact which caused them to persuade the original author of its namesake can be so decisive & creative all the same time, that the final outcome of the film is an overwhelming one for the Film Industry.

Mary Poppins Movie Reviews

“There are great debates about what the best children’s film of all time is, but Mary Poppins surely has to be a strong contender. Intelligent, well-acted, supremely entertaining and visually sumptuous, it’s a staple for any serious film fan’s DVD collection. And Julie Andrews, in an Oscar-winning performance, is simply wonderful. It’s a film that reminds me of Christmas; the whole family can sit down to watch it, enjoy themselves and do it all over again the next festive season. And the next. And the next.” EyeForFilm.co.uk

“One of the greatest children's films ever.” TV Guide

“There is only one word that comes close to accurately describing the enchanting Mary Poppins, and that term was coined by the movie itself: supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Even at 2 hours and 20 minutes, Disney's pioneering mixture of live action and animation (based on the books by P.L. Travers) still holds kids spellbound. Julie Andrews won an Oscar as the world's most magically idealized nanny ("practically perfect in every way,” and complete with lighter-than-air umbrella), and Dick Van Dyke is her clownishly charming beau, Bert the chimney sweep. The songs are also terrific, ranging from bright and cheery (“A Spoonful of Sugar”) to dark and cheery (the Oscar-winning “Chim Chim Cher-ee”) to touchingly melancholy (“Feed the Birds”). Many consider Mary Poppins to be the crowning achievement of Walt Disney's career–and it was the only one of his features to be nominated for a best picture Academy Award until Beauty and the Beast in 1991." –Jim Emerson

“One of the most loved Disney movies that has delighted families since it was made in 1964, Mary Poppins, like its central character, is practically Perfect in Every Way.” Urban Cinefile
