Been playing this game for the last couple of months and I'm seriously impressed.
Being a owner of mario kart DS, I was really looking forward to Nintendo improving online play and I really think they succeeded. Even with NZ connection the game is extremely playable and fun online.
The game itself is pretty much the same as always however they really improved the slide boost system.
You own a wii, grab this game, its a lot of fun.
This is a fantastic game. After looking for it for a full two months, it lives up to and surpasses all expectations I had. The Wheel is a lot of fun to use and the gameplay hasnt changed too much from previous Kart entries. The battle mode despite being only team based is still a blast. Multiplayer is insanely fun as well and I imagine online would be great as well. The only gripe I have is that the item selection is a little unfair if your near the finish line and in first place, don't be surprised if you get taken out. Still a great game and a must have in anyone's Wii collection.

This game is a have… It is great fun for you and the family.But I don't know how to use my Mii character to race, or do tricks, But I love the game should so get this game, really fun!!
One of the best games to hit the Wii. Online is so addictive ive moved on from Call of Duty 4 and spend more time on this. From what ive read this has sold around 14 million copies world wide making it one of the best game sellers ever.

So far out of all the games for the Wii that I have purchased this one is still the best. There are so many options to choose from.
In the single player against the game there are lots of different tracks all with vibrant colours and the potential to unlock more tracks, more rides and if your good more players including upgrades to you Mii. The wireless is really good quality for this game as even when my internet connection had been slowed the races still run smoothly as if there was no lag at all.
It is the most fun I have had playing a game expecially after I started using the wheel that it came with. Highly recommended!
It's another classic Mario Kart game, and just like all the others, it's pretty awesome. The motion controls are quite fun but you can opt to use a Gamecube controller if you are more comfortable with that. The online play is great, easy, and lag free. Voice chat would have been nice, but I can't say it really bothers me. There's some really cool new tracks as well as some classics revamped from older versions or ported through from Double Dash. If you are a previous Mario Kart fan you should enjoy this game. If you are new to Nintendo you should get this game; it's great fun with family members, alone, or online.
I didn't really like this game in the mario series I found the motion controls on the steering wheel to be a bit jolty. (wasnt smooth)
I also found that to me the steering wheel was a bit small and was uncomfortable and awkward to hold.
Overall I would not buy this game and im thinking of reselling it as it was not what I was expecting from the previous versions of the game.
But younger audiences may enjoy it better then me as I am 16 but still a fan of mario.
I bought this game hoping to play it with my family and friends, now it seems like its more my family that play it rather than me. Fun for all ages, and challenging for those who enjoy fully completing games. This is a must have if you have a family wii console.
The kids absolutely love this one. It's a lot of fun for adults as well. The courses are challenging enough to make the game interesting but not too tough that the kids give up. Best played with a Wii wheel.
Once we put this game on we cant get them of it we even had to buy an extra wheel. I even get on it and have a go and its great fun

Our family loves this game. My husband and I use to play this years ago so to be able to play it again is great. Our 7 year old son absolutely loves it too. Highly recommend this game.
Who doesn't love Mario Kart-
This is a game that can be enjoyed for all ages. Easy to play, hours of fun. Many different races, characters, bikes and karts keep it exciting.
Definitely a must for all Wii players!

Seems like several games in one. So many courses, characters and bikes/carts to choose from. Great for 1 or 2 players. Wii wheel takes a bit of getting used to after using the controller for so long – it looks good tho! A very good deal from Mighty Ape.

One of the best game to play against mates, beats GT5 hands down but you will need extra steering wheels.
Gotta Love It. The whole family can play together, our 4 year old has mastered it, including online play. So user-friendly and fun.
Awesome! The wife and I have had great fun on a week night when there is nothing on TV with a bottle of wine and this game. The basic tracks are great and easy to start on, with harder tracks to challenge you as you get better. Note that a Wii Wheel is not necessary for this game, but it does add to the fun.
Wow. We got this game for the kids to play on the wii. They haven't changed the cd since christmas day (3 months later). Even adults that we have had come to visit love to play and it can get very heated. Overall I reccommend this to all who enjoy playing there wii or enjoy racing. I have found that it suits all player levels and ages.

I am not a gamer , I bought it for my 7 year old on his birthday. It is hard to pull him apart from the game ever since. It is a hit with his teenage brother as well so I guess I t cuts across all age groups. A special word of thanks for mightyape, they are really prompt in delivery .

I have had plenty of laughs with my friends and family playing this game Things like turning HUGE and squashing your opponents and shooting heat seaking turtles really gives you the advantage and a great twist to any racing game.

After playing this game on DS and loving it, I unfortunately lost the game cartridge and decided for the second time around to try the wii version. Just as great! The fast paced fun of this game becomes very addictive and the wii wheel is extremely responsive much to my surprise and enables you to play as if you were there! The new bikes and items are great too and there are a few new courses. My only gripe is that for some reason when making the Wii version of this game they left out the missions, which were one of my favourite features. Apart from that a great game.

Love it how you can play by yourself or race against one another. We got the Wii Wheel as well, and now I've been told to save up for another one as the first one has proved very popular with everyone.

Best game to keep kids out of trouble
This game is a tremendous amount of fun. Many single and multiplayer modes, rewards and things to unlock make it pretty long lasting.
Best aspects are the slight learning curve it has, and the offering of auto and manual drift modes gives it that extra since there’s essentially two ways to drive. Children and adults can pick it up quickly and have fun with it and it is genuine great fun being a Nintendo production the art design and neat little detail all add to the experience.
Online via Wifi is great fun too, play regionally or world-wide it works seamlessly.
The game is at it’s best when you have 4 of you playing on the same console at home! The hours just fly by. Regardles if it's just one player, playing grand prix mode or online there are many fun hours to be had. A Must have for the wii.

Mad, fast and action packed in single player – more players, really tests your patience as you can be first then knocked back to last in a matter of seconds!! Haven't played multiplayer yet but its gotta be good!!

This game is awesome with 4 players. Be sure to have a large widescreen tv though. Gets a bit boring in signle player though.
Mario Karts would be the best game on Wii by far. You can play single player, against a friend in your own house, or 16. You can also play against people around the whole world. The battle mode is also heaps of fun with 2 ways to battle. If you played this game non-stop, it would take you days to clock, probably even weeks. With so many karts, characters and tracks to unlock, it is a must by game at any price.

My 6 year old son wanted to get this game for our Wii. Since arriving into our house, it has been played often and it is a great interactive game for all ages. What I particularly love about it is that anyone of any ability can play each other without effecting the other gamer. Also, my 6 year old can easily be amused playing by himself or we can get the whole family involved together. Lastly, it is great that new races can be unlocked as you continue to play and win races.
I would definitely recommend adding this game to your Wii gaming collection.
This game is a must have for everyone with a Wii. In fact, a Wii is a must have for everyone, just to get this game. It's excellently composed – the tracks, the music, and the controls are perfect. I only got one more Wii Wheel, and after two days of playing I went out to get two more – It's great to play with four of you, and the wheel makebetter. I can't recommend this game highly enough – even the single player is enough to keep you entertained indefinitely.

I love this game, it is one of my favourite Wii games in my collection. You can use motor bikes and carts, there are heaps of characters and you can also use your Mii.
The online play is great and there are heaps of different tracks, including ones from the old Mario Kart games. The 8 cups in each race group (50cc, 100cc and 150cc).
The battle mode is a great party game and the Wii Wheel is great fun to use.

Santa did good at Xmas time! The kids are still playing Mario Kart every chance they get, and the parents pick up the wheel for a go now & then as well. I got the bundle with the extra wheel and it's well worth it. Lots of fun tracks, fun tricks, fun characters and heaps to unlock so even the bigger kids aren't bored. And the littlies can keep up with them so everyone's happy. Top game, highly recommended

Great game for the kids and adults in the family. The tracks are relatively easy for the beginner, although the battle arenas are a little harder to score in. Would highly recommend – with extra wheels of course!
This game is fun to play, I brought it for my 13 yr old nephew and played it with his uncles and papa , enjoyed by all ages, and by far the best price I looked all around to find a decent price no one come even close to mightyape,
This is one of the best Wii games I have ever played. The graphics are awesome, the gameplay is fun and anyone can play it. My six year old cousin picked it up in 2 minutes. Its great to play with the family and with friends. I highly recommend it.

This has to be the best game I have played on Wii. It combines the unique aspects of the Wii console with the traditional Mario Kart characters and tracks as well as many extras. Online play is fantastic.

Fun game to play with the family, and the included Wii wheel makes it that bit more entertaining. The amount of maps to choose from it a bit limited though, and you get tired of them after you've played for the 2nd or 3rd time. However, still lots of fun, and recommended for the cartoon car game enthusiasts.

My kids love the Mario Kart and wii wheel. They, and all their friends have been playing it at every given opportunity… And that is before my husband gets hold of the wheel! Definately need more than one wheel though to keep everyone happy.
This game is pretty fun as a pick up play when people are around. I am not much of a racing car game player and only brought it for my daughter.
She loves it and plays it quite a bit. I pick it up and generally only play others. Its worth it and I imagine the game has a large amount of replayablity
Mario Kart Wii is the best game I have bought for my Wii so far. It has a huge range of playable characters which can be unlocked as you progress through the game, incuding your own Mii. There are over thirty race courses, so it's almost impossible to get bored! The Wii Wheel makes gameplay easier and adds effect, so it feels like you're actually inside the game! Highly recommended for all ages. by Max age 11.
I bought this game thinking it would be a TV-screen version of Mario Kart DS, after playing Mario Kart Wii for less than 5 minutes I knew it was something new altogether. The feel of the Wii Wheel is simply amazing, it's a breeze to pick up, and, just as is Nintendo's style, difficult to master. The graphics are spectacular – especially when compared to N64 – and the new items bring yet another dimension to the game.
Well done Nintendo, a game worthy of the Official Seal of Quality. Well worth the price, and I recommend a second (if not third and fourth) Wii Wheel too.

Mario Kart Wii is best played with multiple people and the online is one of the best ways to do it, its simple, fun and has no noticeable slowdown like other online games so the framerate is top notch. Mario Kart Wii wheel is a nice little accessory to use but only optional because you can use the classic controller, Gamecube controller, Wiimote and Nunchuck.
Mario Kart Wii is one title you do not want to miss.
Sure, the fact your playing with an unmounted steering wheel will detour some people, but it works well as an easy to play game. The customisation available allows you to play to your preference. A great game all round, and a must have for any Wii owner.
