Description

The Billing Boats 1/50 Marie Jeanne wooden ship model measures 57cm long, 50cm high and 13cm wide. This wooden boat kit is highly realistic with many fine details.

Built as the 19th Century was drawing to a close. This is a dundee of 50–60 tons and equipped with many sails, making necessary a ballast of 20–25 tons and a 12-man crew. Tuna fishing requires robust, seaworthy and relatively fast sailing vessels.

This kit features plank on frame construction, laser cut plywood keel and frame components, wooden superstructure and decks, hull and deck fittings in brass and/or plastic, mast and spars and rigging cord in various sizes. It includes full-size plan sheets and an instruction manual with English text.

  • Hand sewn and sized cloth sails.
  • All-wood construction features african walnut, ramin, sapele, coral, plywood and boxwood.
  • Brass hardware such as eyebolts, deck lights, rings, and more.
  • Three colours of thread, brown and raw (pale green) for different rigging applications.
