There are a number of comprehensive textbooks available for the epilepsy specialist. However, there is no suitable publication for the GP or hospital-based non specialist. This book aims to fill that gap by providing practical guidelines on the diagnosis of new cases, management of the disease and the choice of pharmacological therapy. In addition, there are chapters on the history of epilepsy, epidemiology, and the developments in imaging and surgery.
