I have never been a fan of Angelina Jolie but was pleasantly surprised by her role in Maleficent. I was initially concerned it would be too dark and violent for my grandchildren (2 under 10) but after seeing it at the movies I am more than prepared to supervise them watching it at home now that I have purchased the DVD. I can easily explain any of the bad bits away to see they are not frightened but I don't believe they will be. It was very well directed and had many moments of joy and lots of enchantment. The twist to the original tale made me smile.

I am not really an Angelina Jolie fan but this is a really good movie, and she is brilliant in this role. I loved it from start to finish.
It was different, not the sleeping beauty that I knew but the story line is different. The only thing that was wrong with it was who ever sung the end song killed it and Walt Disney would roll over in his grave to hear it sung like that it was to slow!
I am not what one would call an Angelina Jolie fan. However this film is one of my all time favourites.
An enchanting movie based on Sleeping Beauty but with a twist. Angelina Jolie is wickedly good as Maleficent as she weaves her magic throughout the kingdom, visually beautiful and captivating, lots of fun to watch.
A highly enjoyable movie…Angelina is fantastic (and I am not particularly a fan). Different!

Thoroughly enjoyable and not too frightening for little ones and Grandmothers too !!
