Classic aussie flick, with great natural performances. Even though the pace is slow, compared to modern day films, it's easy to see why it was a such a big hit across the ditch. The gags with the home-made machines are great.
Description
Slow-witted Malcolm (Colin Friels) loses his job at a Melbourne tram depot and takes in boarder Frank (John Hargreaves) to help make ends meet. Frank, out on parole after a two year gaol stretch, is perplexed by Malcolm's offbeat character and his genius for constructing mechanical devices. Realizing the crime potential of these inventions and ignoring the protests of his girlfriend Judith (Lindy Davies), Frank convinces Malcolm to carry out a daring bank robbery.
