In the Indian province of Rajastan and the great cities of Delhi and Agra, an incomparable landscape of art and culture reveals itself. This region is world famous for it's many splendid palaces, temples, fortifications and tombs.
Today, in medieval India, the Maharaja has called upon his loyal Indian princes, and they are eager to obey his call! They have been sought out to build magnificent houses and palaces in his honor!
Maharaja is a cleverly designed boardgame for two to five players. During the game, the players use different experts and escort the Maharaja from city to city on his voyage through India. They vie with one another to become the grand builders of magnificent monuments left in the Maharaja's wake.
Of course, building palaces is very costly. Therefore, one must keep their coffers filled so that the huge expenses, required to satisfy the Maharaja, are met.
The first player who builds seven palaces is the winner and wins the favor of the Maharaja.
In addition to the basic game, this package includes two advanced versions for players who seek even more depth in their game play.
