Description

Lucrezia Borgia is born into history's most notorious family. Her father, who is to become Pope Alexander VI, adores her, but scandal is never far away and the pope's reputation as the 'most carnal man of his age' taints the whole family. Lucrezia's brothers, Giovanni and Cesare, are fierce rivals, never more than when it comes to their sister's attention. Growing from childhood into beautiful womanhood, Lucrezia becomes aware of that destiny from which, as a Borgia, she cannot hope to escape...and as her first marriage ends far too soon, tragedy strikes at the very heart of the Borgia family.
