"Excellent Gaming Mouse"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I have been a Gamer for may years and used many different kinds of mice. I though I would never find a mouse to replace my Sidewinder until now.

This mouse is awesome. Take the time to fully understand what it does and can do. 10/10 Bring on BF1 and Cod Remastered :)

"Great mouse, quite expensive."
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

First thing is, this mouse is indeed “red” but Mighty Ape's pictures make it look pinkish, which it most certainly is not.

I really love this mouse, it took about a day to get used to, it's very adjustable so you just need to play around with it to find the right fit. I love the adjustable weight system. Feels very sturdy, it's reasonably comfortable and looks awesome. It's function as a gaming mouse is amazing, great for first person shooters but also works well for MMO's ect.

There is really only one thing that annoys me about this mouse. There are two extra sets of interchangeable palm and pinky rests that come with this mouse, but the set that have the rubber grip are not painted in the same red gloss paint as the rest of the mouse, they are just matte red plastic. This is really not a huge issue as the grip parts are mostly covered with black rubber but since this is quite an expensive mouse it does annoy me that MadCatz have not bothered to paint the visible plastic on these two parts. This really only applies if you actually choose to use the grip parts though.

This is a really cool mouse with awesome features, but it's a lot of money to spend. I would recommend buying this mouse if you don't mind spending the money or if it's on sale.

"Mechanically superb but electronics & software let it down"
2 stars"

Once I adjusted this mouse to suit my hand and style it felt more comfortable than any mouse I have ever used and has some features & software options that are very useful. That is the end of the good news.

This is based on the RAT7 with 6400 dpi sensor. Do a search on help forums for details but I've experienced all these issues apart from the USB3 ports: Electronics. 1 – This mouse does not work on USB3 ports. There are warnings of possible damage to both the mouse and the USB3 ports. 2 – The sensor has issues with being lifted off the desk to be repositioned and does not track some high-end mouse mats well. 3 – The sensor is extremely sensitive to dust to the point where Mad Catz/Saitek make a point of it several times in their official help forums and FAQ files. Software (drivers only). 1 – After a couple of weeks can stop tracking properly on any surface and even mouse clicks are erratic, complete removal of all mouse drivers and just using generic drivers will fix this until shortly after the correct drivers are reinstalled. In Win7 you can choose to keep using generic drivers with almost no issues apart from loss of features but Win10 must find more specific drivers at some point after the generic drivers because the behaviour resumes after a short while.
