Begun 1811, and finished 18th June 1817, the second anniversary of the battle of Waterloo. Consists of nine arches, and is up, wards of 2000 feet long by 43 feet wide. The work of John Rennie, and cost above a million sterling. Toll a halfpenny. Bridge, is for foot passengers only. It is 1352 feet long. And has three Openings, the centre one being very wide, - 676 feet 6 inches. Begun in 1841; opened 1845. Sir J. K. Brunel, engineer. Toll a halfpenny. Cost of the work.
