I Use this mouse for World of Warcraft which is Ideal, It has a lot of
buttons that are easy to reach, push and control.
2000Dpi is more than enough to offer great response times and control in
MMORPG, Some would say its enough for FPS games, but if your really serious you
may want something a little higher.
Logitech's SetPoint software offers an enormous amount of control over the
mouse. This is another critical feature as you will save time and free up
fingers on your keyboard while offering a larger opportunity to keybind
everything.
You can, for example, tell the SetPoint software to recognise the game you're
playing, set the mouse buttons to equal keystrokes only within that game, and
change the dpi selector on your programmed settings just for that game. (Taking
the term “Get you game face on” to the next level)
Its hard to say if the lifespan is a pro/con, it works well for longer than
most but like all things, it eventually fails, you will notice buttons stop
being as responsive. The bright side – Logitech has a great warrenty and for
the price it still is great quality.
The cons:
- Right hand only (I think the G3 does a lefty but doesnt have the weight
option)
- Hard to master the center/scroll buttons without actually scrolling
the wheel
- If your a FPS animal it may not have enough tracking resolution.
Lastly Combine this with the Steelseries 7G Keyboard (Which I hope MightyApe
starts to stock) AND you my friend will have yourself a top of the line World of
Warcraft setup that will make your friends jealous and you smile every killing
blow you make.
