"Great all purpose controller"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Always found Logitech controllers to be very sturdy and comfortable, and the F710 is no exception. It has a handy switch at the back to change it from the newer X input format that most modern games use, (if you're running XP remember to download the Xbox controller drivers from Microsoft) to the older D input – which is fully programmable and means you can still play older games easily. Battery life and device range is impressive, and the USB receiver is nice and small. My only gripe is that it doesn't use the Logitech unifying reciever.

"Support please Logitech." Purchased on Mighty Ape

Bought this guy a few weeks ago and honestly it has the potential to be a great controller. BUT! Getting the freaking thing to work on Windows 7 X64 was a night mare. I had to look for videos on YouTube and blogs to figure out how to get it to work. See there isnt a working x360 driver for it. You have to go around the logical way to set it up and even then its not perfect. For people who dont know how to do this it will be nigh on impossible. Windows cant install a driver for it and even with the software available from Logitech it was still an issue. Funnily enough when I tried it on Windows 8 it worked like a charm although I still had to tell windows where the driver was. I like the quality of the controller but the hassle with getting it to work just isn't worth it. Not just plug and play as it says...... Oh well.

This controller is great I've been using it with the Steam big screen beta and it works well with all my games.
I suck at playing with the keyboard and this controller lets you program keyboard commands to the gamepad however you want for games that don't have controller support. The support website helped me to learn how to program the controller especially for the analogue sticks which was great.

"Two years later and still going strong..."
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Have had this gamepad for two years now and it's still going strong. Have had to replace the batteries twice in the two years I've had it, with medium usage, so I think the battery life is pretty good.

It has a lovely grip to it, which makes it nice to hold and it's not too small or too big. It's buttons and sticks all work well, and I frequently use the d-pad as a comfortable-to-use alternative when games are difficult to play with the joystick.

The USB receiver is one of the flat micro ones, so it's unobtrusive when plugged into my PC. Have not had problems with transmitting / receiving (sitting around 2–3 meters away from the receiver), but I do keep the receiver in the front of my PC just in case.

I'm currently thinking of buying a second controller for two-player games. I'm not even considering buying a different brand or model, this controller is just too good.

"Pretty good"

Works well but the range on it isn't very good I thought the usb extension that came with it was a joke but I actually need to use it otherwise my controller won't work sometimes and i'm only around 2.5 meters from the TV

"Good but not great"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Is a good controller when it's working but no support for Windows 10 (there's a janky workaround). The wireless dongle pretty much needs a direct line of sight or it'll cut out and the dpad works but is pretty average. When it's working though it's relatively low latency and works well though!

Easy plug-and-play, feels so similar to a PS3 controller and works seamlessly with any PC game. VERY happy with this and such a great price!

"Driver Problems"
2 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Went through trouble shooting to get it to connect but had no luck, the Logitech Help Centre also wasn't helpful because both installers didn't have the drivers (yellow triangle on the driver). If you're having the same problem I would recommend going into the driver manager, ‘update driver’ and at the bottom of the pop up select something like ‘choose from existing drivers’ and you can use the Xbox driver near the bottom. Beware there will be warning pop ups and don't proceed if you don't want to because this is not the intended driver.

2 stars because it worked in the end but the Logitech installers weren't working for it. Shouldn't have been this difficult.

At the time I purchased this (2014) it was one of the best controllers of its type on the market. It was perfect for playing my PC games, 2nd only to my xbox controller.

"Does the trick"

Wait for a sale. It's pretty easy to set up, but you might hit snags once in a while with disconnection or games not recognising it at first. I just unplug and replug, usually fixes it.

"Great controller"

Works perfectly. For updated driver download: Logitech Gaming Software, if you lose connectivity: Wireless Gamepad F710 Connect Utility. There both here: http://support.logitech.com/…10/downloads

"Solid Gamepad"

This is a good gamepad for general gaming when not wanting to be tied to the computer.

"Good but..."

Its a nice controller but for some reason at random points the analog sticks won't respond to what you do or it will still think you're pushing the analog stick so your character in game will keep going in the same direction.

Its a pretty good pad. Feels a little big in my hands and there is no option to charge batteries while playing. Other than that its pretty sweet :-)

After a little set up, this gamepad has been easy to use and fits nicely in the hands. If you're a fan of playstation controls and are seeking one for the pc, this is perfect!

"Cheaper than logitech's shop."

I now have a back up controller as the only reason I bought this was because I lost the nano receiver for the old one and it was cheaper to just get a new controller.

Cheers Mighty Ape.

"A great PC controller with a great brand"

Want vibration- Want wire-less connectivity- Effort-less set up- Then look no further, because this is the gamepad for it, specifically designed for PC platforms.

Held in my hand like a sweet Playstation 3 controller, even better with the mechanics of it, the shoulder buttons are very strong but just how I like it, it's extremely comfortable to handle for a long time, and pretty simple to use, press the middle button (Logitech symbol) and it's connected, don't use it, it will turn off itself.
