Excerpt from Lewisiana, or the Lewis Letter, Vol. 7: A Monthly Inter-Family Paper; July, 1896 William (5) son of Judson and Elizabeth (whiting) Lewis was b. Stratford, Conn., Dec. 29, 1783, m. Dec. 24, 1812, at Madi son, N. Y., Atlanta, dau. Samuel and Lucinda (allen) Curtis. He lived for a time on the old homestead on Stratford street, Madison, N. Y., then kept the Hotel at Solsville a few years, returning to Stratford street to a farm adjoining the homestead, where he died Feb. 11, 1869. Atlanta died Feb. 21815, 1864.
