I preface this by saying this is by no means a bad game. I played it all the way through, and mostly enjoyed the experience, after all. But, it should be noted, this was after I muted the voicing, because while the voice acting itself was fine, the dialogue itself was PAINFULLY tiresome, and there was no way to fast forward or skip through. It was also frankly alarming how many typos appeared in the written dialogue. Ever heard of a proofreader, guys- The camera is at best uncooperative and at worst actively malicious, the combat attempts to be overcomplicated and mostly succeeds in being annoying, and there are several key mechanics in gameplay that are never, ever explained so figuring them out is literally a matter of trial and button-mashing error. The plot is also so contrived it cycles right back around to hilarious. I stand firm in my belief that if the main character hadn’t chosen to get involved the two main antagonists would have neutralised themselves in their attempts to backstab each other. So it’s not particularly deep but it also doesn’t bill itself as such. I probably would have enjoyed it a lot more as a child, but as it is: a solid game and a good time waster, let down by minor irritations; limited replay value. Make of that what you will.
