"Looks Amazing!"
5 stars"

If you are a fan of the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead series this is a must buy as it uses the same game mechanics but in a more advanced way. You solve real life like crimes and hunt down notorious villians.

The setting is the backdrop for plot elements that reference the detective movies of the '40s, such as corruption and drugs, with a classical jazz soundtrack.

"The king of open world games"
5 stars"

It looks like Rockstar are once again going to assert themselves as the kings of the open world genre.

However this time around rockstar seem to be tacking a more formal approach, with improved game mechanics, graphics and a new perspective from the cops viewpoint rather than the criminals. I am looking foward to this game and am sure it will be a huge hit and a must buy for anyone who owns a game console.

"Amazing concept, amazing tech."
5 stars"

Looks like Rockstar are gonna out-do themselves with this one. Especially love the new face-motion capture they're using so interrogations are important to watch to see if your suspect is lying…

Also big props to them for pulling out all the stops to get Noir as a gaming genre. Hopefully there will be some references to some old noir movies, like The Maltese Falcon and such.

pre-ordered my copy last week and cant wait for it to arrive on my doorstep. The A.I in this game has been created like no other. The way people act, talk, move and respond to your actions is amazing! Rockstar have really turned it up a notch for this one.AND just when the shootouts, hard questioning and car chases couldn't get much cooler, they use REAL actors in this game just to make it m ore realistic. Love open world games like this, Can't wait!

"Similar to Heavy Rain?"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I like most am looking forward to this game coming, and in fact move from pc gaming and bought a ps3 just on the back of this buzz around this game is making.

I am not sure how it could in anyway be similar to Heavy Rain that it would make your leg hurt? It seems that their is a lot of similar game mechanics, but lets be honest a lot of games run similar mechanic and more will come along i am sure.

As for the setting totally different from Heavy Rain, I don't believe you get to play four parts thats different, the time period different, you don't play a bad guy different,

So i dont know if comparing this to Heavy Rain is an insult to quantic studio or rockstar? If we were to make reference to other like games then i would assume LA Noir would be more in keeping with Mafia II.

However all said in done I am so looking forward to this game and to test my abilities to pick a lyer?

"Film Noir Set in Iconic 40's L.A."
1 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

To me any new Rockstar game is a definite on my games radar, so when I heard about this baby a couple of years ago, I set it on my to-lookout-for list straight away. I'm looking forward to exploring L.A. sans freeways, when the world was a little bit more innocent. As a bonus I preordered Max Payne with L.A. Noire which is set in Brazil, which I'm kind of glad of, as I do feel that Rockstar, for all it's brilliance, needs to move away from the U.S. and set some of it's games elsewhere around the world (tho I am sure we will find ourselves back in the U.S. for G.T.A.5). The facial animations of Noire captivate me and trying to see if a perp is lying by their body language is a challenge I'M especially looking forward too. No special collectors edition from R* this game around, but all the same may 20 is looking a crime-crunchathon for me.

"Looks great!"
1 stars"

This game looks brilliant, but if you see through its colourful and tactical disguise, you will realize that this game is so similar to Heavy Rain that it hurts the squidgy part of my leg.

The premise for the game is very interesting and sneaky, yet it is so like Heavy Rain it is irritating reading the synopsis.

I think the characters featured in this game seem very interesting and well developed, but they are very similar to Heavy Rain.

All in all, I think this game looks good, but very similar to Heavy Rain. This is annoying.
