"An Amazing Manga of an Amazing Game Series"
5 stars"

All I can say is wow. (Not literally) But I can also say that this is one of the best adaptations from game to graphic novel at hand.

It starts off with Sora thinking about what's happening to his friends; Riku and Kairi. He then finds a castle named “Castle Oblivion”, and sets foot into it not knowing what's in store for him. Along the way he meets a mysterious man in a hood who will not reveal his identity. He gives Sora a card and disappears, leaving Sora and his pals; Goofy, Donald and Jimminy Cricket, in confusion. They then proceed through a door that leads to somewhere that will bring back memories…

Now what I can say is that this is worth any amount of money for anyone who likes the Kingdom Hearts universe. I rate it a perfect 5/5.

A very good story perfect for Kingdom Hearts fans who missed chain of memories like I did as it is hard to get hold of now. This has a great mixture of humour and action. Highly recommend for fans of Kingdom Hearts who want to find out what happened between the 1st and 2nd games.

Description

Hot on the heels of the success of Tokyopop's first "Kingdom Hearts"manga, this new manga series "Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories" takes readers through the story from the PS2 game. Sora, Donald, and Goofy, realize their magic and skills have been completely stripped away--and now Sora must travel on his own. Available October 2006.

Review

"Gr 4-8. A sequel to Kingdom Hearts (Tokyopop, 2005) and based on the popular role-playing game, this graphic-novel adaptation, with a blend of Final Fantasy and many familiar Disney characters, will be a surefire hit with children and young teens who love video games and/or manga. Soru and his friend Jiminy Cricket meet up with Goofy and Donald Duck to go on a quest to find King Mickey and Soru's friend Riku, who are locked in the Kingdom of Hearts. The artwork, while by no means spectacular, is reminiscent of the classic manga style. This fast-paced adventure will have library patrons returning this volume before day's end."
