Never have I seen such a outstanding collection, of a British comedy series. I have seen 3 times since I got it, and have not tired from it. My friends have loved this collection as well. So well done, and when you purchase this, it will be money well spent!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Great show"
5 stars"

This was a great show. I like it because I dislike snobs. In this show Hyacinth is a snob and everybody hates her. But she is delusional. She thinks that everybody loves her. Why do people keep shelling out money to PBS to continue watching KUA. Why continue to give money to PBS when people can buy these shows on DVD. This way they can watch it whenever they want and not just once a week. This was a great Britcom. Buy these shows on DVD. Are you being served was another great Britcom. Buy them on DVD as well.

"BBC at it's best, emminently rewatchable!"

This show is eminently rewatchable and as such essential addition to the DVD collections of British comedy fans. Patricia Routledge does a stirling job of portraying the working class Hyacinth Bucket as she attempts to convince people that her name is pronounced ‘bouquet’ and that she really is upper class. HIndered in her efforts by her down to earth and unemployed brother-in-law Onslow, Hyacinth embarks on many outrageous capers, much to the embaressment of her long-suffering husband, Richard. Many hiliarious hours of the show are contained in this complete collection of the classic British sitcom written by Roy Clarke.

Description

"People who try to pretend they're superior make it so much harder for those of us who really are."

Tireless social climber Hyacinth Bucket puts her best foor forward in this hilarious BBC comedy of manners. Hyacinth busies herself performing selfless acts of charity for the lower classes (including her family), doling out invaluable advice to her husband Richard, and acting the adoring eldest daughter to her incapacitated Daddy.

Somehow she also manages to find time to keep her neighbours on edge by hosting insufferable morning teas and candleit suppers. Hyacinth goes to incredible lengths in her quest for perfection and admittance into the upper-echelon of society.

With over 23 hours of social climbing antics, featuring all 40 episodes and more!
