"One of the best DC Graphic Novels!!"
4 stars"

I have just read my copy imported from the USA. I could not put the novel down!

Really gives a great insight into the way one of the worlds most famous comic villain thinks,The Joker. Well worth to have in your graphic novel collection and definitely can be re-read a lot.

Instant Classic and must have for any Batman ‘and Joker’ fan!

"Wonderfully dark and demented."

The Joker is back, proven sane by the doctors he is set free! Proof that the world has gone mad the Joker is not one to let the door of opportunity opened to him remain unused. He walks through and with the aid of a wannabe he sets out to prove to those that have done him wrong or just forgotten him that if you got to go, go with a smile! Great fun!

"Gritty, grotty, and thoroughly engrossing."

Azzaerllo's Joker is not the happy-go-lawless clown we are used to seeing. He is a serious, psychotic murderer, popping pills and murdering innocents with no pattern, no method, just sheer animal brutality. The city is his playground, and you won't be able to tear your eyes away from Bermejo's gritty, grotty, gorgeous art.

"A classic."

100% must read for any Batman fan. A stand-alone epic based on the Joker's psychological profile and an in-depth look at his character – very chilling and unforgettable.

"Amazing read" Purchased on Mighty Ape

Just a really great book. Worth buying. Pick up was smooth and simple

"Good insight to the uninitiated"

This book is probably one of the better summaries of Batman's arch nemesis so for those that aren’t too into the comic scene this is highly recommended. If you're a hard-core batman comic fan then this is probably just going to spell out stuff to you that you already know. That being said regardless it is still a very entertaining read for anyone and the art is very fitting for the dark setting and was one of the main stand-outs for me.

A dark detective noir story, with barely a mention of Batman (which was a nice change).

The Joker is shown as a complex personality with the expected unpredictable psychotic behaviour and some really unpleasant moments of genius.

The art is stark and the colours muted, though this suited the storyline and made the entire story sing.

A must have for any Batman comic collector.
