Author Biography

James Arthur is Professor of Education at Canterbury Christ Church University. He completed his doctorate at Oriel College Oxford, the College Newman was elected a Fellow. Currently he is Editor of the British Journal of Educational Studies and Director of Citized - an national organisation in higher education promoting citizenship. Father Guy Nicholls is currently the Parish Priest of the Oratory, where he also has responsibility both for the maintenance of the music in the Oratory Church and the restoration of the Oratorian community's house at Rednal, where Newman is buried.
