This new artist's sketchbook, accompanying volume Q of Matador, presents an unpublished work by Joan Fontcuberta composed of 13 photographs depicting museums and art gallery invitations compiled by the author and transformed into almost unrecognisable traces through the voracious action of some wild snails that the artist used to become co-authors of the work. Author Biography:

Samuel Aranda (b. 1979) has spent the last 15 years documenting conflict, migration and social issues in hotspots around the world. A much-in-demand freelancer, he works often for The New York Times in the Middle East and has completed assignments in Pakistan, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, Colombia, and China. Aranda is currently based in Tunisia.
