This book presents the findings of the Japanese Multinational Enterprise Study Group and offers the 'Application-adaptation' framework as a means of measuring the degree to which Japanese parent systems are transferred to the subsidiary. It proposes this as a model for assessing the transferability of systems in any multinational enterprise.
TETSUO ABO is Professor Emeritus at Teikyo University, Japan. His research focuses on Japanese management and production systems in an international context and management geography. His publications include Hybrid Factory: The Japanese Production System in the United States and The Hybrid Factories in Europe: The Japanese Management and Production System Transferred.
