J Herbin: Tin of 6 International Cartridges – Eclat de Saphir
Eclat de saphir (Sapphire blue): sapphire is a gemstone. The terminology probably comes from 2 origins: the Greek with ‘sappheiros’ (a stone of blue color) or from the Hebrew ‘sappir’ (the most beautiful thing). This color is a reminder of J. Herbin and his work at the most prestigious royal courts of Europe.
From the beginning, J. Herbin distinguished itself from its competitors by offering a wide range of colors for the fountain pen inks. The names chosen for each color are very poetic to preserve the originality of the brand and as a French tradition.
J. Herbin is the oldest name in ink production in the world. By 1700, the company was producing “Perle des Encres” – The Jewel of Inks. 300 years later, The Jewel of Inks is still being produced.
These universal international standard size cartridges come in a funky little tin containing six cartidges. The ink is suitable for many makes of fountain pen that accept an international standard size cartridge. (These cartridges also fit some rollerball pens.) If you are unsure if they will fit, please enquire (advising your pen brand & model) and we will confirm if these are suitable.
