Great CPU choice for budget builds. Would be a wise choice to spend a little more on say a 6500 or a 7500 for a bit more future proofing :)

This CPU is good enough to play modern games at 1080P at ultra settings and get 60+ FPS when paired with an appropriate GPU. The 4 cores make it viable for other applications like the Adobe Photoshop and illustrator. However, I would recommend getting a better CPU than this if you plan on getting a GPU like the GTX1070 or better because this will likely bottleneck it. I have an AMD RX470 with this and it plays games fine. Would recommend if just playing games at 1080P and not doing much else.
