Sadly the idea-cards use completely different shapes than are included in the box. Some of the ideas can be made, and others are impossible, which is really frustrating for a kid. Other magnetic shape toys I've seen have a magnetic closure, or an elastic to keep the box shut, but this one has no way of keeping the lid on (it's just a flap of card), so the pieces tip out as soon as you try to carry or move it. The shapes are fun and decent quality, so can be played with. Sadly the cards and box are a real let down.
