This is the basic game which is excellent, but if you can track down a later game like Il-2:46 that has all the later games included it is even better. This game has huge numbers of aircraft you can fly, including New Zealand airforce, and many many other airforces of WWII on both sides of the conflict. You can set your keyboard up to control everything and the various internal positions of each aircraft can be manned by you. If you are interested in WWII aircraft you have to buy this game and when you do you will want to track down Il-2:46 which includes early jet aircraft and all the other zones and packs including Pacific Fighters etc etc. Just using the external view starting up the engine, deploying take off flaps reving up the engine, getting the fuel mixture and propeller pitch right, you can fly around with unlimited fuel and ammo and unable to crash if you suck, but it is a great game that develops in to a classic because the makers continue to support it. On Youtube there are videos with people driving armoured vehicles in the game so it has expanded even further now too. Amazing.
