Such a lovely movie. Funny, with a lot of heart. Highly recommend :-)
Love this movie.
Its so good to get another good ol' kiwi humoured movie. Loved it
I love this movie. Purchased as a Christmas gift for my Mum who grew up on the South Island and she loves it for the classic (quirky) Kiwi humour, and the authentic representation of what it's really like in rural New Zealand. Absolutely love it.
I must have watched this movie ten times as my grandkids (9–12) love it and often put it on when at my place, and I love it every time. Foster kid been from home to home, now at the last chance – with people who wouldn’t have been allowed to foster in usual circumstances. When it turns to custard unexpectedly, the kid takes off… Pure Kiwi humour and NZ bush, with just perfect hyperbole at the end of the chase. Perfect!
Good story, lots of laughs
This movie is funny. There is a little sadness in the story but the humorous performances override this in many ways. The setting is in a beautiful “wilderness” area which adds to the excellence of the film. Also it is good for a “wild” child to be not only brave, independent and unco-operative but also affectionate and sensitive. All actors are appealing in their performances. I really enjoyed the film.
