Description

David Hume's philosophy is difficult for students - not paragraph by paragraph because Hume is a lucid writer - but because it is not easy to see his philosophy as a whole. Ordinary textbooks compound the problem by following Hume point by point so that students are submerged in detail. This book seeks to provide an overall perspective of Hume's work. It deals specifically with Hume's his best known work, "The Treatise on Human Nature" and "The Dialogues on Natural Religion" .

Author Biography:

H.O.Mounce is Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Wales, Swansea. His most recent book, the Two Pragmatisms, is also published by Routledge.
