Very useful! Great not having to screw the base stations into the wall. Could honestly be a little more robust, the tripod has plastic parts that flex a little and if wind catches the stand, from an open window or such, it can sway the base stations a bit.
For the price, this was a great buy. I brought them because I am a renter and don't want to mount them to anything. These are also great because I can pack them away but very easy setup when I want to use the VR system.
