How I Met Your Mother is a fantastic combination of great writing and great delivery. A terrific ensemble cast provide for extremely likeable characters and stories that you can't help but be drawn into. The flash back format provides a refreshing change from the standard sitcom and gives the writers the chance to tease the viewer with what might be coming. Neil Patrick Harris' portrayal of the womanising Barney is a particular stand out.

Quirky, quick witted and crazy.
I missed this when it was on tv but decided to get out on dvd, and was immediately addicted. The cast work well together and they have a great set of writers. ALMOST as funny as friends. I'm not sure how far they can go with the story of “how I met your mother” as eventually we will have to meet the mother but the journey so far is hilarious. I highly recommend to anyone who likes a good laugh.

This is a great comedy, which is also get value for money. There are all great episodes but the stand-outs of this season are Purple Girrafe, Nothing Good Happens after 2AM, Best Prom Ever, Zip, Zip, Zip and The Pineapple Incident.

A brilliant funny tv show! You will the sweet couple of Marshall and Lily to the hilarious Barney.
How I met your mother season one is a great start off to a comedy/slow romance from 2005 With its lovable characters and ‘awesome’ catchphrases you won't go wrong in purchasing it
I loved season 1. It really explains to you who the people are. I fell in love with Lily, Marshal, Ted, Robin and Barney. They are really awesome together. Probably my favorite season!

Very funny comedy that's not what you typically see at the moment. It seems as though they are returning to the original more slapstick style comedy, of which I definitely approve. Features include commentaries and very funny bloopers, definitely worth a watch, and possibly re-runs.
