Description

This lavishly illustrated large-format guide to houseplants, a sequel to the very successful "Flowers A to Z", is the perfect gift for indoor gardeners. There are beautiful photographs throughout, which illustrate the author's easy-to-follow directions, and the comprehensive introductory section offers detailed general information about growing plants at home, including advice about purchasing plants; providing appropriate soil, light, water, and food; repotting; propagating new plants; and using plants in decorative arrangements. The main section of the book is the presentation of the different types of plants, from African violets to zebra plants. As in previous books in this series, a quick-reference box for each type provides information about varieties available. Also included for each plant are several instructive photographs illustrating special types of care and ideas for arrangements.
