No need to review the original album – it is a bonafide classic from start to end – but the live entry is fantastic, and makes the passing of Glenn Frey even more traumatic for fans – Randy Meisner on “Take It To The Limit” gave me goose bumps right at the end, but everyone is playing sharp and singing well. I guess my only (minor) gripe would be the lack of “studio” curiosities – what made the band tick in the studio while crafting these gems, any rarities or first takes would have been welcome.
