"Genuinely Excellent"

I really liked the original Homeworld…a great story, with revolutionary graphics which blew me away the first time I saw them…but it was a wee bit buggy, and the interface needed more work.

Homeworld: Cataclysm was good too, but different…its Horror-movie storyline took some getting used to (but you did get used to it)…the voice-acting was truly superb though, and often hilarious! (“Ah, roger command…can you speak up?”, said the crusty old Processor captain.)

Homeworld2, while compelling, lacks the depth of storytelling the first two had, and the wit of Cataclysm, but the graphics are simply astounding, the gameplay of acceptable quality, while the interface has received the TLC it needed.

No other game (or series) has captivated me like these ones, and I find myself returning to it on a regular basis. Immersive, intense and riveting, H2 will keep you up nights.

"Good Game"
4 stars"

I played HW1 and it was great – the story was capitvating and the gameplay was solid. Homeworld 2 has the same high quality game play, and outstanding graphics, but the storyline in the single player campaign was a let down. If you want a great multiplayer game, which is highly enjoyable, I recommend HW2. If your playing it for the story in the single player campaign I would say look elsewhere, especially if you've played HW1.

I have to say after owning Homeworld 1 and Homeworld Cataclysm, Homeworld 2 is just as good if not better. The attention to detail and improved ships and races has made the game much more enjoyable and added many more hours of game play. But I'm a bit disappointed in reference to the maps used; they're not big enough!
