Rob and Jo Gambi are the first married couple, AND JO THE FIRST FEMALE, to climb the 'Seven Summits' and ski to the North and South poles. Jo is ALSO the only English woman alive to have climbed Everest by the North Ridge AS WELL AS HOLDING THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORD FOR THE FASTEST FEMALE ASCENT OF THE 7 SUMMITS. Their story is even more remarkable given that Rob has twice suffered from serious bouts of cancer, and once came very close to death stranded high in the Himalayas. The cancer has not stopped them from living life with an incredible intensity, and they are constantly searching for new challenges.

Author Biography

Jo Gambi was already an experienced mountaineer when she met and married Rob, an Australian who had never climbed before. Together they completed the climb of the seven highest mountains in each continent in record time - and achieved the grand slam of skiing to the North Pole in 2005. Rob is now in remission from stomach cancer. They are currently living in West London.
