Description

The prophecies within this text were delivered by Mrs. Edna M. Clavin, who lost her daughter and her husband but never her faith or her spirit. She received her Associates Degree in Arts at Nassau Community College, her Bachelor and Masters degrees in English Literature from Hofstra University, and her Masters Degree in Sacred Theology from Immaculate Conception Seminary in Huntington, Long Island, New York. She began her career as a mother of five children (four surviving) and started college at age 46 with her husband Harry. With her husband and others, she was instrumental in establishing His Spirit of Love Prayer Community, which she led every Tuesday for over thirty years. While teaching English in college, she wrote her poems, spoke her prophecies, and collected money for orphanages in the Philippines with the "Wednesday Morning Girls" and the "Sacred Heart Community," adopting many indigent and needy children through the World of Hope Foundation. She also served on the board of Catholic Marriage Encounter through St. Brigid's. Collected here by the prayer community are some of her amazing prophecies for our generation in a book she planned and directed before her death in 2004. Her son, Harry Wayne, edited the work and completed it posthumously for his mother. Her writing capacities extended from the spiritual to the poetic; herein are the thoughts and prayers she relayed for the thirty years as extraordinary minister and charismatic prophet for St. Brigid 's Church. She died at 86 suddenly and painlessly during surgery. She is survived and remembered by her four surviving children and their spouses and nine grandchildren. "When I gaze in the mirror, there are no tears For thelines and the wrinkles gathered over the years As an ancient cathedral that rings a great bell, The face that God gave me has served me quite well. It has smiled in great wonder; it has smiled in delight; It has gazed in amazement at the stars in the night. It has looked with great joy on each newly born child Enjoy all the living--the tame and the wild." --Edna Clavin
