Andre Straus is Directeur de Recherche Emerite au CNRS and Professor at the University Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne. He is specialized in financial and monetary history. His recent research is mainly concerned with the history of insurance and reinsurance. He was the editor of a special issue of Entreprises et Histoire n * 72 on Insurance in the world where he wrote an article on France: "La concentratrion des entreprises d'assurances en France depuis la Seconde Guerre mondiale: realites et limites". Leonardo Caruana de las Cagigas is Tenure at the University of Granada he has written the Insurance History of Spain with the director of the proyect professor Gabriel Tortella.
