Author Biography:

Bonnie Stern is one of Canada’s most popular food personalities. In 2004, her Bonnie Stern’s Essentials of Home Cooking won a coveted International Association of Culinary Professionals Cookbook Award. For over thirty years, she has operated the Bonnie Stern School of Cooking and is the author of eleven bestselling cookbooks. She has hosted two national television shows and currently writes a weekly column for the National Post. The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada’s mission is to improve the health of Canadians by preventing and reducing disability and death from heart disease and stroke through research, health promotion and advocacy. The Foundation is a leader in providing information on nutrition and healthy living to Canadians, through cookbooks and the Health Check™ food information program, as well as other programs and information that help Canadians eat a healthy, balanced, delicious diet.
