Author Biography:

Jack Levinis the Brudnick professor of sociology and criminology at Northeastern Unive rsity, where he directs its Brudnick Center on Con flict and Violence. He has written numerous books and articles about hate and violence, has been fea tured in the New York Times, the Chic ago Tribune, the Boston Globe, U SA Today, and numerous radio and television n ews programs and talk shows. He lives in Boston, M assachusetts.Jack McDevitt is a leading academic expert on hate crimes in America. He dire cts the Institute for Research on Race and Justice at Northeastern University. An expert witness for a number of congressional panels on hate crimes, he lives in Massachusetts.
